I am married to Crystie.  We’ve been a family for 37 years. We are empty-nesters with three children, a daughter-in-law, a son-in-law, and two grandsons and a granddaughter. Our kids live in Austin, Houston, and Anchorage. So…we’re spread a little thin.

I love Texas Bar-B-Q. My favorite book and movie: “To Kill a Mockingbird.” Atticus Finch was a man’s man. I like football. I play at golf. I love to read. Someday I might write a book.

I have been an observer, teacher, counsellor, and commenter on human nature and culture for many years. My passion is to help people become all God wants them to be.

A large part of ministry has been encouraging and coaching marriages. I had always heard the saying (not biblical, of course) that God takes care of fools and little children. When Crystie and I got married, we were both. And our marriage survived. It seems that we are uniquely equipped to encourage people in their marriage. And we love to do that.
